In addition to our standard terms and conditions of sale, please see below for terms that relate specifically to the classic car auction and will overwrite previous terms relating to the Buyers and Vendors.
BUYERS
- Buyer’s Premium 10% + VAT (12% inclusive)
- Successful bidders are required to pay a deposit of 25% on the date of the sale.
- Payment can be made by cash (up to a maximum of EUR 10,000), debit card or bank transfer. Credit cards up to a maximum of £200. All purchases must be paid for in full within two working days following the auction. No vehicle will be released until full payment has been made.
- All vehicles are sold as seen. Lots are available for inspection prior to the auction and bidders must satisfy themselves as to the condition and description of each Lot prior to bidding (see standard term 26). No warranty is made as to the condition of any Lot.
- All vehicles must be removed from the site by 4pm the day following the auction.
- Buyers and Vendors are solely responsible for ensuring that Motor Vehicles are safe for use, roadworthy (if a road going car) and comply with all relevant laws and regulations in force in all relevant jurisdictions and for ensuring that any necessary test certificates are in force It is the responsibility of the Buyer to carry out such inspection as he thinks necessary.
- Admission by catalogue only (£10, admits two)

VENDORS
- Commission of 5% + VAT (6% inclusive) will be deducted from the Hammer Price and the vendor acknowledges that a Buyer’s Premium will be paid by the purchaser.
- Payment will be made to the Vendor 28 days after the auction by cheque or bank transfer, provided that payment has been received from the Buyer.
- The vendor confirms that they are the owner of the Lot or are properly authorised to sell the Lot by the owner and can sell the lot with full title free from all encumbrances and third-party claims, that there is no outstanding finance or any taxes due. Should a vehicle be subject to finance the amount outstanding must be confirmed prior to consignment and sale.
- All vendors must comply with Highway Code regulations. Any insurance categories must be reported.
- It is the responsibility of the vendor to arrange transportation of vehicles to the auction site and to remove them afterwards unless previously agreed with the Auctioneers.
- It is the responsibility of the vendor to complete the retention document prior to the auction and offer a new V5 if applicable. The Auctioneer accepts no liability.

- If a Lot is unsold the Auctioneers with be entitled to exclusively negotiate a sale on terms agreed with the buyer for the next 14 days after the auction.
