JOHNSON BROS (HANLEY) LTD; a Victorian blue and white decorated wash basin, with pair of built-in scalloped soap dishes to the back plinth and further fitted with brass taps and plumbing, mounted on a white painted cast iron wall bracket, stamped to underside with maker's mark, further stamped with a crest and '69A,02,24,4', width 66cm, depth 44cm (af).

Condition ReportThe brass furniture is rather dull and there are signs of hairline fractures, which appear to have been repaired to some extent. The vendor said it was plumbed in and it does hold water, although we offer no guarantees to this effect. The underside of the plughole appears to have had some remedial works at some point and is not particularly aesthetically pleasing. The overflow spout has also had a crude repair and to the underside, there is a printed mark RD No.248782. Hairline fractures visible throughout.

Condition ReportIt appears to have been quite a crude marriage, with a lot of silicone sealant visible - particularly to the front edge of the join, only visible from the underside.
