Chassis Number 1S1868, Engine Number 7S11651SA registered 8th June 1973. The Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Roadster is a one family-owned car since new, records show it’s previous last MOT was in 2008, with 34,704 miles on the clock, it has been off the road and dry stored since then. The vehicle has recently undergone a light mechanical re commission by Twyford Moors, Jaguar Specialists, in Hampshire, to include work to the fuel system, clutch, cooling system, brakes and exhaust, with bills in excess of 2,000 pounds, even though the vehicle is MOT and road tax exempt, it has passed its MOT, with a mileage of 34,734, so it has only covered 30 miles in 14 years. It now has an MOT until July 2023. Under the bonnet of this 5.3 litre, V12 engine, it starts and runs, the fuel system has been drained and fresh fuel added, fuel pump is new, and the carburettors cleaned and have had pipes replaced (it does appear to still have a mis-fire). Spark plugs cleaned and checked .The cooling system has had hoses replaced, and new coolant. The clutch has had fluid replaced and is operational. The brakes have had a servo serviced and callipers bled with new fluid, doors shut well, some work needed to the boot closure and internals. In its original colour of Fern Grey paintwork with a nice patina on the chrome. The underside of the vehicle shows no major signs of rust, and has been treated with a rust inhibitor. The interior is finished in brown tan, with cloth seats and shag pile carpets, it’s in a nice condition would benefit from a little work. Instruments are in working order, some attention is needed to the choke lever, but the choke is operational. It comes with the hood and hood cover, for that open top motoring experience, but there is a rare factory hard top in matching colour. The car is fitted with wire wheels and knock off spinners, they would benefit from refurbishment, but are functional. It also comes with the transferable private registration of CMS 781, which was the original family’s private plate. We offer no guarantee or warranty with this car and always recommend viewing of the car so you can satisfy yourself for what you are bidding for.
