View Lot 3456 An 18th century Chinoiserie decorated lacquered cabinet on stand, the upper section with twin doors set with elaborate brass hinges enclosing an arrangement of ten drawers, the base with square section cabriole legs to pad feet, height 157cm, width 108cm, depth 56cm. Estimate£3,000 - £5,000Winning Bid£3,800StatusCLOSED Condition ReportAs one can expect from a cabinet of this age there of course are superficial issues. Starting with the top, some of the lacquer work has lifted and there are small patches of it missing, there are chips to the lacquer work throughout. The brass strap work hinges are replacements, there is a split to the right hand side of the cabinet. The base has been reinforced and there are chips around the moulding. There are scuffs to the raised parts such as the knees. The interior shows some expansion of the wood to both the doors resulting in scratches.
