Due to the setting, it is impossible to get a depth and also difficult to clean and therefore comment on colour, however the clarity of both major stones is quite good. There are no inclusions with the naked eye and with a loupe there are only small inclusions. There is the most minute of chips to the table of one of the stones, but this is being very critical. Both are well matched and facing up white, as are the other stones. The sapphires are medium to dark blue, the band has a stamp inscribed 'Cecil' and an indistinct number to the side of this.
