A rare set of Victorian creamware scales inscribed 'W & T Avery Ltd, Birmingham' to both sides and with company emblem to each side, with original ceramic platform, brass pan and central powering handle, sold with three associated stacking weights, the ceramic base 55.5cm long.

Condition ReportExtensive grazing to the glaze throughout, nibbles to some of the corners and raised parts of lower body, surface dirt and scratches, an area of nibbles to one of the upper edges and few similar examples to opposing side, large stained hairline to the central section of top, length approx 30cm, minor losses to corners of two feet, surface wear and rubbing to the glaze of the platform, extensive staining along one of the edges underneath, heavy tarnish and areas of pitting to brass pan, tarnish to handle and to the rest of the iron parts.
