Cannot say whether this has been done at point of manufacture or after possibly to cover flaws but it has not been done with any particular refinement or finesse. Fritting and rubbing to the decoration throughout, build up of dust and dirt. One has a manufacturing flaw to the foot rim, there is kiln dirt, imperfections and inclusions throughout.
