The barrel does fully unscrew and closed neatly however, the barrel sits ever so slightly pointing up when screwed into position. Firing mechanism does go to half and full cock. May be lacking a section from the top of the hammer. Tarnished throughout. Some white work lacking, pommel mount is slightly loose and has lifted at one end. Condition ReportThe binoculars are approx 24.5cm when fully extended. The grips around the eye holes are lightly rubbed to the base met and have verdigris dirt in the grooves. Leather strap with general light wear to edges. Case with general age wear scuffs and Marks. Wear to the leather at the edge where the binoculars have rubbed being taken in and out. Binoculars with light wear here and there. Red grime at the adjusting pivot. Many black marks and a cloudy appearance when looking through the lens. Lens are lightly grubby - unsure of the internal condition. The leather strap / lock to the lid appears to be repaired. The lid is a lighter colour leather to the base proper.
