The case and the actual tools that come with this gun do appear to be 19th century and roughly contemporary with the gun, although it does certainly appear that everything has been put together and associated rather than it all being an original set. Wear and tear throughout, wear and rubbing to engraving, pitting and surface oxidisation, handle slightly loose and with losses. It appears that the gun can be fired, but the cylinder is not turning upon firing as it should do, this will require attention. General heavy wear throughout, dents to the powder flask, some splits to the handles of the tools, splits and heavy wear to box. We cannot speak as to whether this piece is 54 or 38 bore.
