It has been in the same family for generations and is a tired example but original and has not been messed about with. The plank seat is split and loose, there are also chips to the front of the plank seat the whole frame is very loose, the top rail is very dry and it has a split to one side, there are numerous marks of surface wear throghout, a couple of the diamond lozenges are missing to the inlay. It appears the chair does not have ears missing, we cannot see the marks.
