We believe this to be a copy of the original held in the Hermitage, St. Petersburg. There is an area of loss to the figure's hair, which shows a patch repair to the reverse. The painting is dirty and also has a small crack running through her dress, approximately 3cm, however under UV light there is very little overpaint and the painting remains in pretty original condition. Some of the moulding is missing to the frame, we do have several sections, but not all sections. There is surface craquelure throughout.
