    • Condition ReportJust 106 TF21 models were ever built and 80 were saloon cars. The TF was the very last Alvis model built and this example was supplied new in Beige P.509 (light metallic Gold) with Beige leather, Cream headlining and Beige carpets. The Alvis was built by the 26th September 1966 and supplied new by Sheffield based Ernest Hatfield Limited. This car was delivered to a Sheffield based Steel company, George H Cook Limited and since the 1970's has been owned by several Alvis owners club members. Today the Alvis is offered onto the market in its original colour combination, presenting beautifully and in mechanically excellent condition.  Since 2010 1711 TF has had a staggering £32,000 spent on body, paintwork and mechanical improvements. Between 2010 and 2012 Alvis specialists Red Triangle re-furbished the wheels, fitted new sill strips, various chrome items, front seat belts, replaced the electronic distributor, HT leads and plug caps, rev counter cable, boot lock, anti-roll bar D bushes, rear shock absorbers, fitted new stainless steel tail pipes, replaced hoses, handbrake assembly, replaced carb needles and jets and had carried out some cylinder head work, re-fitting the head with a new gaskets as well as manifold gaskets, thermostat gasket and also fitted a new engine mount assembly. In 2013 Coopercraft supplied brand new non vented brake kits for front and rear and the Vintage Wireless Company rebuilt the Motorola stereo. From 2013 to 2016 the Alvis was maintained by a Lancashire Alvis specialist and work includes fitting the new Coopercraft brakes, replacing window regulators, replacing front and rear bumpers, fitting a Type 9 five speed gearbox with new flywheel, clutch kit, clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder, new speedo cable, rebuilt starter motor, electric fan, brake master cylinder, new power steering hose and various maintenance. Further to this mechanical work, the Alvis body has also been stripped down, taken back to bare metal and fully re-painted and now presents in exceptional condition. 1711 TF is a stunning car with excellent straight body panels and a gleaming, glass paint finish. The car is structurally very strong and presents nicely with lovely chrome work and excellent wheels. The interior is smartly presented with excellent carpets, woodwork, new leather front seats, original rear seat and lovely door cards and headlining. The boot is trimmed in new carpet and the engine bay presents well. The Alvis performs tremendously well on the road with a strong powerful engine holding good oil pressure and delivering very good acceleration. The steering is light, the brakes efficient and all electrics function correctly. The car sails along gracefully and with the recently new five speed gearbox, feels superb, easy to drive and is ideal for long distance touring. Since 2010 the Alvis has only completed 2500 miles and offers an excellent opportunity to acquire a very rare, late model T series car that has had a huge level of expenditure over the past 2500 miles and six years.

    • Condition ReportChassis number: GMJ74, valued by Vintage and Prestige Fine Motor Cars at £44,000 in 2017.  Rolls Royce coming up to 100 years old and in excellent condition, previously owned by the Earl of Kilmorey (ownership history below). Comes with file of documents and letters. A delightful vintage Rolls Royce 20 HP Weymann Saloon carrying its original cabriolet saloon body by Weymann. The Rolls Royce 20HP Weymann Saloon is pictured on page 307 of John Fasals authoritative tome, The Rolls Royce 20.  The Rolls Royce 20HP Saloon was initially sold by Rootes Ltd of Devonshire House, Piccadilly, to a Mr H Leeson of Hastings, E. Sussex. It was then transferred to a Dr Ind in Sittingbourne, Kent and then to a Mr Sully located in Bristol in 1933. In 1936 it was sold to the Rt. Hon. Earl of Kilmorey, Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland and then to a Mr Oliver in Holywood, Co. Down, N. Ireland.  The next known location was Port Elizabeth in South Africa, where it was found in the 1960s by a Mr Ernest Heunis. The vehicle was restored by him in Pretoria, South Africa, and bore the South African registration number TP 8126. The Rolls Royce 20HP Saloon was returned to London in 1999 (see attached) by Christies International Motor Cars Ltd and re-registered with the registration number SV9928. It was sold to a Mr Raymond Foley in Saundersfoot Pembrokeshire, Wales, and then to a Mr Paul Haxell, Coulsdon, South London in 2004. It was bought by a Mr Ian William Charles Spencer, Chalfont St. Giles, Buckinghamshire, in 2015 and by the current owner in 2017.  The Rolls Royce is finished in maroon over black and has been carefully looked after. The interior is black leather with the trim being well polished and in good condition. Black carpets complete the ensemble. The Rolls Royce 20HP Weymann Saloon has a non-division body well suited to an owner-driver with adjustable front seats. It carries faux pram irons to the rear giving the appearance of a cabriolet body. Under the body it is clean and tidy and has been well cared for. A file of bills and correspondence comes with the Rolls Royce 20HP Weymann Saloon.  Mechanically the Rolls Royce 20HP Weymann Saloon is in fine order throughout with a lovely quiet engine and a delicate tactile feel to the controls. The Rolls Royce on the whole feels very taut and does not appear to have done a high mileage. The rear window is unusually large giving excellent visibility. At the rear is a commodious luggage trunk.
