Thimble with no visible holes, but signs of considerable use. Penknife blade with some nibbles and the blade does not full withdraw into the handle but sticks out at a potentially painful angle. The thread holder with similar general wear. Overall tarnish and some discolouration throughout as well as scratches, surface abrasions and marks. Please note that the box itself is in af condition, does not close fully, has numerous chips and losses to the tortoise shell, the tortoise shell itself very dry, some breakages and cracking to the reverse, the right panel to the lower section lifting, in general very heavily worn, with numerous areas of damage, as well as loss to the ivory inlay.
