Estimate£2,000 - £3,000StatusUnsold Condition ReportThe glass door is cracked twice, the dial, movement and case are presumed to be original, there is some bubbling to the veneer of the hood, the quarter pillars have an unusual angled feature but this appears to be original also, some loose mouldings which have split around the door arch, a vertical split to the base as you can see although the bottom does retain a very good colour, it comes with two weights and a pendulum but no guarantee as to working order, it has been working in the vendors home where it has stood for many years until transportation to the sale room. The engraved spandrels do match those engraved to the dial which look to be original but it is up to the buyer to assess for themselves. The vendor purchased this clock many years ago as a Gillows example and informed us that the case was stamped upon consignment to the auction room. Having now scoured the entire case and hood unfortunately there is no stamp and therefore can only be attributed to Messrs. Gillows.
