For Me & For You
The woodcut tree is cut into a single piece of wood and mounted so it can hang straight on the wall. Amongst the branches are engraved the words ‘Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, Forever’
The piece can be hung and enjoyed anywhere in the home, but has been designed to work especially well in a well lit spot. When the tree catches the light it will create a wonderful shadow effect on the wall behind. It is created from aPoplar veneer, a lovely soft wood that enables us to cut incredibly cleanly. The picture is stained using a water based wood stain before being oiled to finish.
The picture was designed and made by For Me & For You, a small creative business based in Macclesfield. The business is owned by husband and wife team, Stewart and Jacqui. The pair have been making wood and papercut artwork and homewares together for the last 8 years, working around their young family and can often be found on their stall at the Treacle Market in Macclesfield.
