Lot 569 of 2698: Field Marshal His Grace The Duke Of Wellington KG GCB GCH PC FRS; a fine William IV Field Marshal's sword, circa 1835, purportedly given to The Duke of Wellington. The fine engraved blade inscribed 'Prosser, Maker to The King & Royal Family, Charing Crofs [sic]', with ivory mounts to the hilt and with wire work portepee, lacking scabbard, length 90cm. Wellington was in office 14th November 1834 - 18th April 1835. The sword is presented in the display case used at the Musee Wellington-Waterlo
